Like you, we are closely following the news updates about COVID-19. The health and safety of our customers, staff and of our wider Auckland community is our top priority as we operate in lockdown.
We want to let you know that we are taking all necessary precautionary measures, and following guidance and advice from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) and the Ministry of Health.
As you are aware, the New Zealand Government has directed that only Essential Services will be able to continue to operate after 17 August for 7 days, or until further notice.
Auckland Glass is an Essential Service in the category of Building and Construction (as per COVID19.govt.nz):
We will remain open to perform emergency glass repairs for commercial, retail and residential properties. This work is an immediate requirement to ensure basic human health and safety for the occupants of the property to prevent potential injury and/or sickness and to ensure adequate security of these properties is maintained.
Our phones are running as normal and we have vans operating as always, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Please ensure that you maintain good personal hygiene practices when our team needs to complete work in your home or at your site. This includes appropriate hand washing, use of hand sanitiser available and tissues (where necessary). Our operators taking inbound calls will be asking a list of questions to ensure our team and your office and/or family is kept safe.
While our team member/s are on site, if you start to feel unwell or develop symptoms (coughing, sneezing, fever etc) then please let our team know immediately. We may have to leave the site.
If you are experiencing any COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms, have returned from overseas in the last 14 days, or have been in close contact with someone who has been overseas, or you are in quarantine (as opposed to self-isolating), we ask that you speak to our operators by phone only and our team can work with you in finding a solution to complete the work.
Thank you for your patience and ongoing support. Be safe, and be kind.
Nick Reid
Managing Director
